Café Kur: Stop 4 – Café Fräulein O.
My fourth Café Kur stop led me to Café Fräulein O., a cozy gem in Köpenick’s Altstadt. Run by German actor Hardy Krüger Jr., the café has a warm, vintage charm that feels both welcoming and nostalgic. It’s a place you can settle into, with thoughtful details and a relaxed vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Inside, chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and vintage touches make every corner feel special. My friend and I snagged a seat right by the window, which gave us the perfect spot to sip our coffee and watch the comings and goings outside. Mr. Krüger and his partner were so welcoming, and I couldn’t resist snapping a photo with them to share with my mom and Oma (they know him far better than I do!).
The cake display was pure temptation; every slice looked amazing. We each picked one and savored every bite. This café is the kind of place you’d want to come back to—maybe with a book and an afternoon free to enjoy coffee, tea, and whatever new cake they have waiting.
With limited hours, there’s an added layer of excitement when planning a visit here. And with its warm atmosphere and beautiful setting, Café Fräulein O. feels like a perfect little retreat from the busy world outside.
